WHAT IS LAW?

RULES AND REGULATIONS PASSED BY A CONSTITUTION FOR INDIVIDUALS AND CONSTITUTION ITSELF AND ARE COMPULSORY TO FOLLOW IS KNOWN AS LAW.


LAW IS DIVIDED INTO DIFFERENT CATEGORIES AS BELOW:

  1. INTERNATIONAL LAW
  2. NATIONAL LAW
  3. PUBLIC LAW
  4. CONSTITUTIONAL LAW
  5. ADMINISTRATIVE LAW
  6. CRIMINAL LAW
  7. PRIVATE LAW
  8. CONTRACT LAW 
  9. TORT LAW
  10. FAMILY LAW
  11. LAW OF SUCCESSION 
  12. COMPANY LAW 
  13. EMPLOYMENT LAW.


FURTHER UNDERSTANDING FOR TYPES OF LAW.

  • INTERNATIONAL LAW:    IT IS CONCERNED WITH DISPUTES BETWEEN NATIONS. MUCH OF THIS LAW EMERGES FROM TREATIES SIGNED BETWEEN DIFFERENT NATIONS.

  • NATIONAL LAW:    THIS APPLIES WITH IN  COUNTRY. EACH COUNTRY WOULD HAVE THEIR OWN SPECIFIC NATIONAL LAWS.

  • PUBLIC LAW:    THIS LAW INCLUDES THE STATE OR GOVERNMENT IN SOME WAY.

  • CONSTITUTIONAL LAW:  THIS CONTROLS THE METHOD OF GOVERNMENT AND ANY DISPUTES WHICH ARISES OVER SUCH MATTERS CONCERNING STATE OR GOVERNMENT.

  • ADMINISTRATIVE LAW:    THIS CONTROLS HOW MINISTERS OF STATE AND PUBLIC BODY SUCH AS LOCAL COUNCILS SHOULD OPERATE.

  • CRIMINAL LAW:    THIS SETS OUT THE TYPES OF BEHAVIOR WHICH ARE FORBIDDEN AT RISK OF PUNISHMENT.(A PERSON WHO COMMITS A CRIME IS KNOWN AS DEFENDANT OR OFFENDER AND THE PERSON CLAIMING THAT IS KNOWN AS CLAIMANT).

  • PRIVATE LAW:    THIS IS USUALLY CALLED CIVIL LAW AND CONTROLS THE DISPUTES OF PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS OR BUSINESSES.

  • CONTRACT LAW:    INVOLVES TERMS AND CONDITIONS BETWEEN TWO INDIVIDUALS. THEY END UP WITH A TREATY AND IF ONE BREAKS THE TREATY THE OTHER ONE  CAN TAKE ACTION.

  • TORT LAW:     A TORT OCCURS WHERE THE CIVIL LAW HOLDS THAT EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO CONTRACT BETWEEN TWO PARTIES STILL ONE PERSON OWES A LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY OF SOME KIND TO THE OTHER PERSON AND WHEN ONE PERSON BREACHES THE RESPONSIBILITY THEN TORT OCCURS.

  • FAMILY LAW:    LAW CONCERNING ABOUT FAMILY DISPUTES SUCH AS MARRIAGES AND DIVORCE ETC.

  • LAW OF SUCCESSION:    RULES FOR MAKING A VALID WILL.

  • COMPANY LAW:    AGREEMENTS BETWEEN TWO COMPANIES AND IF ONE COMPANY BREACHES COMPANY LAW MAY OCCUR.

  • EMPLOYMENT LAW:    RIGHTS OF EMPLOYEE TO COMPANY AND RIGHTS OF COMPANIES TO EMPLOYEE ARE INCLUDED IN THIS.
